In 2021, a new phase of health sciences information services coordination and delivery started at Yale with the formation of a new organization that bridges the technology services and talent across the health campuses.

Led by Ted Hanss, MBA, MA, in his position as Health Sciences Chief Information Officer, the organization develops and coordinates technologies and projects to meet the unique needs of the health sciences academic campus, specifically the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Public Health, and Yale Health. The team leverages information technology to advance the tripartite missions of teaching and learning, research, and patient care along with the supporting administrative systems through enhanced infrastructure, applications, and support services.

The team consists of individuals from the existing Yale Information Technology Services (ITS) Medicine & Health team, other areas within ITS, the School of Medicine, and the School of Nursing. The team collaborates with and relies on other areas of ITS for many policies, solutions, and services.
