For the first time, EDUCAUSE published a Horizon Report edition focused on data and analytics. The 2022 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report - Data and Analytics Edition profiles the trends and the key technologies and practices shaping the future of data and analytics, and it envisions scenarios and implications for that future. The report is based on the perspectives and expertise of a global panel of leaders from across the higher education landscape.
Born out of need amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the HSIS team launched the forward-thinking data analytics program, Campus Population Health Data Systems & COVID-19 Analytics. Our work is now a model for other universities looking to create baseline data capabilities that can quickly pivot in response to multiple types of regulatory and emergency health guidelines.
