Spotlight: Chris D’Addio

October 6, 2022

Christopher “Chris” D’Addio has worked at Yale for nearly a decade and recently took on the role of IT Manager – Audio Visual Services for the School of Medicine. Chris began his time at Yale as a contracted audio visual coordinator for the conference center and West Campus. He remarks, “starting my career at Yale during the infancy of Yale’s West Campus and seeing it mature into a robust center for research and learning has been amazing.”

After three years of serving the West Campus as a contractor, Chris broadened his role as a full-time audio visual coordinator, supporting events and the entire campus. Last month, Chris assumed his current management position within HSIS, succeeding the beloved Paul Perry.

Beyond providing “world-class audio visual support,” Chris is currently focused on a number of projects in the HSIS portfolio including the audio visual mega renovation effort, new audio visual funding model, and the Information Technology Service Center upgrade.

When asked about his favorite Yale memory to date, Chris immediately spoke of YHACK 2017. “I managed the audio visual and technical support for the 1st annual conference. YHACK 2017 was a 24 hour Hackathon that started at West Campus. We took an unused building and transformed it for the event.”
