Spotlight: Rick Dwyer

Richard “Rick” Dwyer is a true Nutmegger. He grew up in North Branford, Connecticut, received his Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, and resided in various towns in southern Connecticut before settling in North Guilford.

Prior to starting at Yale, Rick worked as an independent contractor doing web and database development. He started at Yale in 2013 as a contractor, then transitioned to an employee for the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) in 2015. His current role, as a Technical Lead for YSM, supports the following initiatives: Institutional Training Grant Hub (ITG Hub), Facility and Lease Analytics Tracking System (FLATS), Laboratory Order Tracking & Instrument Scheduling (LOTIS), BatchMaker, Yale New Haven Health Budget application, Clinical Effort Report (cFTE) and the Salesforce migration.

What are your Hobbies?
“I enjoy project cars, boating in the Long Island Sound, home improvements, and spending time with my family.”

Do you have a favorite Yale Memory?
“I have no one favorite…I think of the people I’ve been fortunate to have worked with, and that makes me smile.”
